CranioSacral Therapy

The brain and spinal chord are immersed in about 100 ml or more of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). CSF is a clear fluid secreted by the choroid plexes, which is a network of capillaries within ventricles located in the center of the brain. A hydraulic pumping action circulates the CSF into pathways surrounding the brain and spinal column, eventually getting reabsorbed by tiny villi, the superior sagittal sinus, in the brain.

CSF plays an important shock-absorbing role for the body. Due to various types of stresses to the body, CSF can pool and remain stagnant. Unleashing the fluid blocks and readjusting the natural rhythm of the CSF will return the body to wellness. That is the function of CranioSacral Therapy.
